We should feel grateful to know that in the Lord’s Church, Jesus Christ provides direction on how temporal resources can be used to further His work. He instructs the saints in Doctrine and Covenants 51 to collect money, food, and clothing to help provide for each other. We also read of the commandment to build a bishop’s storehouse.
