COME FOLLOW ME LESSONS & ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS LESSON 48 | NOVEMBER 20 – 26, 2023 | 1 AND 2 PETER

Parents, imagine weaving a beautiful tapestry with your children, each thread representing a Christ-like attribute. As each strand strengthens, so does the entirety of the weave. Our lesson this week from 1 and 2 Peter is all about cultivating these very attributes, weaving them into our daily lives, and more importantly, into the lives of our little ones. Dive deep into the scriptures, teach them the art of resilience, and most of all, have fun while doing it!

Dive into our activities to help your children embrace, embody, and spread the love of Christ, drawing strength even during challenges. Our aim? To make gospel learning delightful, easy and time-efficient. Remember, the essence is not just to read the scriptures, but to let them take root in our hearts.

DEVELOPING YOUR DIVINE NATURE

As they weave, remind them of their potential – with each strand they add, their tapestry, and faith, grows stronger.

FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS

Scripture Study Activities [study it]

With the “I Can Choose to Follow God When Times are Hard – Accordion Book”, children will walk in the shoes of valiant disciples who faced trials. As they read scriptures about Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail, Jesus’ ordeal on the Cross, and other acts of steadfastness, they’ll be inspired to sketch their own stories of faith during challenges. Let’s foster resilience and faith!

SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH SMALL AND SIMPLE THINGS

Go & Do Family Activity [do it]

Dive into 1 Peter 3:15 as a family, understanding the power of testifying Christ at every opportunity. “After Much Tribulation … Cometh the Blessing”

Jesus Christ spoke peace to the saints through the Prophet Joseph, encouraging them to wait “patiently on the Lord” and to do what He would do, even if it meant further persecution (D&C 97:2).

“For the Salvation of Zion”
