Walk in the Spirit

Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids

Week 40 | September 25 - October 1

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

  1. Talk to your family about what a burden is. You can demonstrate this by carrying something heavy (big stack of books or bag of flour) by yourself. Then have someone help you carry the heavy object. Point out it is easier to carry when someone is helping. Read Galatians 6:2 and share about a personal experience when someone helped you carry a heavy burden. Then color the coloring page.
  2. Read Galatians 5:14-15. Talk about people you love with your family. Sing “Love One Another” (Children’s Songbook pg 136) and play the bean bag toss game.
  3. Buy runt candies or use different kinds of cut up fresh fruit. Let your child sort the fruit. Read Galatians 5:22-23 and teach them about the Holy Ghost. DIscuss a few roles of the Spirit like joy, love, and gentleness.

Where “Much Is Given Much Is Required”

The Savior Jesus Christ requires much of His people. As shown throughout scripture, Christ doesn’t ask only a tiny bit of our time. He wants our entire heart to be in His work. From our efforts, the Lord brings about great blessings for our brothers and sisters. For example, doing family history and temple work blesses families that lived before us. Sharing the gospel now can bless generations to come. Even our own families are the result of blessings promised to those who committed to the work.

“I Will Lead You Along”

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God’s kingdom on the earth, but it didn’t just appear out of nowhere. As the Church grew from a few members to millions, God gave wisdom to men and women “for a permanent and everlasting establishment and order unto my church… to the salvation of man, and to the glory of your Father who is in heaven” (Doctrine and Covenants 78:4). Just as with the early saints, we are led along by His hand in bringing the gospel to the world. We can always trust in Him to guide us in all things.
