It’s the first week of November which means this lesson is available to anyone with a subscription! Tell all your friends and family that all they have to do is sign up for the free subscription and they can have access to this lesson too!
The scriptures that will be studied this week are Hebrews chapters 1-6. This week is a little bit different. As a family (or individually) you will be building a ladder to Christ. Follow the instructions and each day complete the reading, do the activity, add the step on your ladder, discuss the topic and sing the song listed on the summary sheet that aligns with the day. This is a fun way to reach all of the important topics this week and have a lot of discussion about how to come unto Christ.

Use your Come Follow Me for individuals and families manual as a resource to look at pictures of Christ. You might also consider purchasing a picture a Christ for each child to keep.
On day 4 you get to discuss the Atonement. Listen to the song Gethsemane and complete the coloring page.
Day 6 is about Priesthood keys. Use real keys to unlock doors as a visual. Use the Priesthood teaching poster to talk about the different offices of the priesthood and the responsibilities they have. Use the little man figure to show how men advance in the offices of the priesthood. Follow the directions suggested in your materials.

In every moment of Joseph’s story, God was with him. From his brothers’ betrayal and serving Potiphar, to a friend of Pharaoh and the savior of his family, at no time was Joseph forgotten by God. Through the good and the bad, he trusted that God knew who he was and had faith that everything would be all right.
Abraham’s posterity was promised many blessings of eternal significance, but that didn’t mean everything would be perfect. His grandsons, Jacob and Esau, fought over who should inherit their father’s birthright. Relatives lied to and tricked each other. The prophet’s very own family was dysfunctional, yet that didn’t stop those who were righteous from striving to follow Jesus Christ.
Abraham and Sarah had a lot to worry about. From infertility and famine to war and the safety of their family, it could have been easy to forget their covenants while focusing on their daily concerns. Yet they showed faith by putting the Lord first each day. As a result of keeping their covenants, they knew the Lord would help them throughout their lives. As Abraham told his son, Isaac, “God will provide” (Genesis 22:8). We should follow Abraham’s example of faith and always put the Lord first.
