Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids Lesson 3 | January 12-18 | Genesis 1–2; Moses 2–3; Abraham 4–5

At the start of each new year, parents plan out activities and events for their family to do during the next 12 months. We hope to make happy memories, build our children’s character, and provide a refuge of emotional and spiritual support during hard times that will inevitably come. We want the best for our family and hope that at the end of the year, we will reflect on how good a year it was.
Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have done the same for all of us. “In the beginning…” (Genesis 1:1), the world was created to bring us happiness. They hope that if we learn to have joy, build our faith in Christ, and seek support through repentance and the gift of the Holy Ghost, we will return to them and live with them forever with our families. Just as we want the best for our children, our Father in Heaven wants the best for each of us.

THIS WEEK’S COME FOLLOW ME HIGHLIGHTS
Elementary Bundle Lessons & Activities
We have some great activities and resources to help assist you in celebrating a Christ-centered Easter this year! We recommend picking the activities that work best for you and your family. We think just a few activities will allow you to celebrate Easter, but also allow you time to focus on our Savior and what He has done for us. Our hope is that you will find something meaningful for your family to help celebrate this special holiday!
Family of God
Scripture Study
As you study Genesis 1:27-28 and Abraham 5:14-19, think about how special it is to be created in God’s image. Create a “Family of God” paper chain and color in the individual features to show that God created men and women and commanded them to have children. Marriage and families are important to God’s plan.

Creation Mobile
Hands-On Activity
God spent many days creating the beautiful world we live in as found in Moses 2:1–25. Grab some string and create the Creation mobile to represent what He did on each day. Hang it somewhere and marvel at the work of God.

Sabbath Sticker Chart
Surprise Activity
Read Genesis 2:2–3 to find out what God did on the seventh day. This day became known as the Sabbath, and Heavenly Father commands us to keep it holy. Use the Keep the Sabbath Holy sticker chart as a family to discuss what activities you have during the week and which are best for the Sabbath day. Hang it on your fridge as a reminder to set Sunday apart from the other days of the week and draw nearer to God.

Toddler Bundle Lessons & Activities
For kids ages 1-4 at home and in nursery or sunbeams.
Adam and Eve in Eden
Hands-On Activity
Explain to your children that Adam and Eve were the first of God’s children to live on the Earth. Adam and Eve lived together in a beautiful place called the Garden of Eden. Heavenly Father told them to till and take care of the garden. Talk about how Adam and Eve cared for the garden. Pretend to take care of a garden by doing actions for tilling the soil, planting the seeds, and watering the plants. Then, sing “The Garden Song” from the lesson. Plant a seed in a cup with soil. Explain that seeds need soil, water, and sunlight to grow. Our testimonies of the gospel can grow like a seed when we read the scriptures and learn about Jesus.

The toddler bundle includes a lesson plan and three activities every week. Grab the toddler bundle in our subscription.
