Come Follow Me Toddler Activity

Teach that hens want to keep their chicks safe from danger. Read D&C 29:2. Christ will gather His people just like a hen gathers her chicks. Play the “Gather Her Chicks Game.”

Simplified Come Follow Me Activity

Learn about the Plan of Salvation by using the “Plan Of Salvation Scriptures Study” activity. Put the puzzle together after reading the scriptures and singing the songs on the back of each piece.

DO IT ACTIVITY:

Read D&C 29:1-2 and watch the video “Why Does Christ Compare Himself To A Hen.” (The QR code for the video is included on your lesson plan page). Make the hen and chick masks and play the “Chicken and Hen Four Corners Game.”

SURPRISE ACTIVITY:

Read Doctrine and Covenants 29:36-50. To help your children understand why we need the atonement use the “Atonement Balloon Object Lesson.” Sin is like popping a balloon with a push pin. But because of the atonement we have been given the gift of repentance. Use the object lesson instructions to use a push pin on a balloon and not have it pop.
