August 14 – August 20 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Overcome Evil with Good

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

  1. Read Romans 8:16-18 as your children color the coloring page. Ask them who they love and who loves them. Make sure they know that Heavenly Father loves them. Sing the song “My Heavenly Father Loves Me” (Childrens Songbook pg 228) to be reminded of all the ways Heavenly Father shows his love for us.
  2. Read Romans 8:35-39. Give each of your children a picture of Christ to hold. Explain what it means to be seperated. And then explain that Christ loves us so much we can never be separated from his love. Let your children keep the picture of Christ somewhere they will see it often so they can always remember that Christ loves them. Then do the love bug activity.
  3. In Romans 16 we learn about Phebe, Priscilla, and Aquilla who chose the right even when it was hard. Paul was grateful for them and their service. This week focus on being thankful for the people around you. Talk about the people you are thankful for. You could even right them thank you cards. Listen to this Please and Thank You song and then play it again so you can sing along.
