We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
- Play a game where you point to yourself and say a word and then point to your child and have them repeat the word. Be sure to say the words “faith, hope, grace, and love.” If you need to discuss what these words mean. Then color the coloring page.
- Read Romans 1:16-17. Talk about what faith means. Just like we can’t see the air we breathe we can’t see Jesus but we know He is there. Give some examples of how you know Jesus is there and give your children an opportunity to share as well. Sing “Faith” (Children’s Songbook pg 96). Then follow the instructions to plant a seed in a bag.
- Show a picture of baptism as you read Romans 6:1-11. Use the boy or girl printout in a plastic sleeve and let your children rub pudding all over it. Explain that sometimes we choose the wrong and make mistakes. But when we are baptized our sins are forgiven. Let the children wash the printout in water to make them clean.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
Summary of this week’s Hands-On Learning Activity
Read Romans 1:16-17 and Isaiah 55:8-9. Talk about how it takes faith to live the gospel. Do the Lessons on Faith activity and discuss how you can increase your faith in your Savior.
Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity
Read Romans 1:29-31 and discuss the bad choices listed in these verses. Help your children understand how they can choose good and choose to follow God by going on the I Choose God Hunt.
