Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids Lesson 29 | July 15-21 | Alma 30-31
Alma knew that the gospel of Jesus Christ was more influential than armies or alliances. Time and time again, his knowledge of the scriptures had strengthened him in his missionary work and helped him lead the Nephites through many trials.
As we read the scriptures daily, we can find the same strength that Alma had. We can provide our families shelter from the difficulties of the world. Remembering what we learn and ponder helps us resist temptation and find joy in life! That is why it is essential for us to teach our children to “try the virtue of the word of God” (Alma 31:5).
This week’s Come Follow Me FHE lessons teach straight from the scriptures and include everything you need to make Come, Follow Me fun for your kids! Join our membership for only $10 a month, and you’ll gain access to a treasure trove of resources to strengthen your family’s spiritual foundation and growth.

THIS WEEK’S COME FOLLOW ME HIGHLIGHTS
Elementary Bundle Lessons & Activities
The elementary bundle is a treasure trove for kids aged 4-11, featuring activities that instill key principles. Let’s explore three highlights:
Scripture Puppets!
Scripture Study
Prepare your stick puppets! As a family, read Alma 31:8-35. Use the stick puppets to help tell the story. Then, use the Prayer Comparison chart to write the differences between how Alma and the Zoramites prayed. You may want to look specifically at Alma 31:20-38 for this. After your discussion, let your family retell the story using the puppets.
Prayer Crafting
Hands-On Activity
Help the story of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies come to life for your family with this
After reading about how the Zoramites prayed on the stand Rameumptom in Alma 31, teach your children the correct way to pray by making the “Prayer Mobile” and singing the song “We Bow Our Heads” (Children’s Songbook, pg. 25A). You can also refer to the Prayer Comparison Chart, this week’s scripture study activity.
Rameumptom Puzzle
Surprise Activity
Before the lesson, tape the pieces of the Rameumptom Tower Puzzle to the wall. Point out to your family that each piece includes a song and a question. Invite each child to take down a piece of the puzzle one at a time. After the piece has been removed, sing the song about prayer, discuss any principles taught in the song, and answer the question. Share a time your prayers have been answered.

Toddler Bundle Lessons & Activities
For kids ages 1-4 at home and in nursery or sunbeams. The toddler bundle Includes a full lesson plan with THREE activities that align with scripture written by an early childhood educator. These include a coloring page, another printable activity, and a movement activity that helps young children understand the scriptures. Here are a couple of highlights from this week’s lesson.
I Can Pray Everyday
Go & Do Activity
Begin your lesson by playing the song “I Pray in Faith” (Children’s Songbook, pg. 14). Sing along with the audio while your toddler listens and hums. Then ask, “What does this song teach us?” Let your child respond. Say something like, “Yes, we can pray every day!” Today we get to learn about people in The Book of Mormon who prayed. Summarize the story found in Alma 31:8-35 in a way you feel is best for your child. When you are finished, invite your child to build a tall tower like the Rameumptom tower you just learned about using wooden blocks or other building blocks. Once it is finished, knock it down and remind your toddler that this is not how we pray. We should pray like Alma, with faith and sincerity. Practice saying a heartfelt prayer with your toddler. To finish, give them a prayer chart to hang by their bed. Set a goal to help your child pray each morning and night and mark off their prayer chart as you go.
The toddler bundle includes a lesson plan and three activities every week. Grab the toddler bundle in our subscription.
