Learn from the prophet Jacob, the brother of Nephi, as we read his sacred teachings in 2 Nephi 6-10. In this week’s Come Follow Me lesson, we uncover “things which are, and which are to come” (2 Nephi 6:4) about God’s covenant. Jacob takes us through his own teachings and those of Isaiah, helping us learn of Christ from a new perspective. 

This week begins a new era in the Book of Mormon as Nephi becomes the patriarch of his family. 2 Nephi is a powerful book of scripture that not only teaches how we should live as families but also why we should do our best to love and nurture each other. In this Come Follow Me lesson, we’ll use crafts, storytelling, and games to help your children understand connections between the Old Testament and modern-day prophets, temples, and other inspiring principles. 

With Lehi’s family safely landed in the Promised Land, the family prophet realizes his time on earth is ending. In this and next week’s chapters, Lehi teaches each of his children a final lesson before he passes away.
