July 10 – July 16 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: What Wilt Thou Have Me to Do?

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

  1. This week we read about some people who bravely stood for Jesus. Some of them were: Tabitha, Saul, Philip, and Simon. They teach us we can follow Jesus by standing for what is right. Summarize some of these stories for your children. Then color the coloring page.
  2. Summarize the story of Saul changing his name to Paul in Acts 9. Explain that repenting means we recognize we did something wrong, feel bad, and want to change it. We pray to Heavenly Father to forgive us of our sins. Then play the raceway game as a family.
  3. Find objects to help you explain that the Holy Ghost can comfort us (blanket), guide us (compass), and protect us (sunscreen). Let your children hold these items as you talk about them. Read Acts 8:26-39. Then watch the video about the Holy Ghost.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

We encourage you to use the five scripture story posters and the corresponding activities this week. Point out that these stories are about how the apostles ministered and shared the gospel. Many stood for the right even when their lives were in danger. After reading each story discuss the comprehension questions.

Story of Saul

Read the story of Saul and discuss the questions. Then make the repentance stick puppets.

Story of Philip

After reading about Philip cut out the money bag and money. Glue the money on the bag, punch a hole and tie a string through it for your child to carry it around like a purse.

Story of Tabitha

Read the story of Tabitha then draw and/or write about a miracle you have witnessed in your life.

These are just two of the six fun, creative, and engaging activities for this week’s Come Follow Me FHE lesson. See your lesson plan page and materials for more activities and QR codes to videos and songs that go along with what we are learning about this week!

Come Follow Me Teen Lessons

Each week the Come Follow Me Teen Lesson includes 4 discussion questions, a challenge, QR code to a video made by experienced Seminary teachers, and a scripture print to print off and display.
