We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
- Talk about and describe what a cross is. You can draw it in the air, make a cross with your fingers, or stand up and stretch out your arms to the side. Show your children the coloring page and ask them to find the cross. Summarize the story of Christ’s trial and crucifixion. Then color the coloring page.
- The assigned reading this week is a lot for young children. But one of the repeated truths is that Jesus loves us. Sing the song “Jesus is Our Loving Friend” (Children’s Songbook pg 58b). Talk about how Jesus is our friend and make the fruit loop necklaces.
- Ask your kids about times when they have felt sad, afraid, etc. Explain that Jesus understands all of our emotions so we never have to feel alone. We can pray whenever we need peace or comfort. Play the emotions BINGO game and talk about each emotion.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
Summary of this week’s Hands-On Learning Activity
Make popsicle stick crosses with your family as a reminder of Christ’s love He has for us. He loves us so much he was willing to die for us. Paint, color, and decorate however you want. Then put it somewhere in your home where you will see it often.
Summary of this week’s Scripture Study Activity
Play the Roll a Scripture Game. Sit in a circle and take turns rolling the dice. Read the scripture that is face up. Continue taking turns until you read all the scriptures. Then have a treat after finishing.
