We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
- Have your children color the picture on the coloring page that goes with each parable as you read it. Be sure to give them specific instructions on which picture to color for the story. Once you’re done with the parables the coloring page will be completed.
- Show your children a picture of a clam and let them observe it. Then read Matthew 13:44-46. Ask your kids what they think the treasure is. Then show a picture of the inside of the clam and them observe what they see. A pearl! Just like a clam holds a treasure the gospel of Jesus Christ is a treasure. Then create the bag puppet.
- Sing Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes (Children’s Songbook pg 275a) and do the actions. Read Matthew 13:9,15. Have the children point to any body parts they hear in the verses. Talk about how we can use these body parts to learn about Jesus.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
Summary of this week’s Go & Do Family Activity:
Study the parables in Matthew 13 together using the Book of Parables. Write or draw what you learn from each parable. Discuss how God will show you the mysteries of His kingdom when we have faith and believe on His name.
Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:
Read Luke 8:1-3 with your family and discuss the certain woman that was healed by Jesus. Color the coloring page together and think of someone that your family knows is a follower of Jesus Christ and draw a picture of them in the empty frame.
