March 27 – April 2 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Be Not Afraid

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

  1. Read Matthew 14:22-33 and use props as you read, ex. toy boat, hair dryer, picture of Jesus. Talk about when Peter was afraid Jesus said Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. Color the coloring page together and remind your children that we don’t need to be afraid because we have Jesus.
  2. Set up a crowd of stuffed animals and make a basket of loaves and fishes for each child. Summarize the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 in Matthew 14:13-21. Let your children act out the story by giving out the loaves and fishes to the stuffed animals.
  3. Read John 5:1-9. Then learn a simple song together. You can find the words on your lesson plan page and sing to the tune of Skip to My Lou.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Hands-On Learning Activity:

As you make the Jesus Miracle Mobile, read the scriptures on each circle. You will learn about the three miracles in John 5:1-9, Matthew 14:13-21 and Matthew 14:22-33.

Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:

Review the story of Jesus feeding the 5000. Then make soft and fluffy flatbread and eat it with some kind of fish (baked, fish sticks, fish crackers, etc).
