We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
Learn about the miracle of Mary and Elisabeth being mothers.
- Teach your children that it’s a miracle that Mary and Elisabeth were mothers. Ask the children who else they know that is a mother. Read Luke 1:37 and make the mom and joey kangaroo craft.
- As you color the coloring page tell your family about a time when your prayer was answered and ask them to share an experience they’ve had with their prayers being answered. Sing the song “I Love to Pray” in the Children’s Songbook. Sing it throughout the week.
- Jesus had a mortal mother and immortal father. Read Matthew 1:21-25 then play the names of Christ cupcake walk while you listen to songs about Jesus as a child. Continue to play until you read each name of Christ.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
Summary of this week’s Go & Do Family Activity:
Summarize the story in Luke 1:5-25, 57-63. Who do you know that could use some extra prayers this week? Use the Prayer Pennies to write down which prayer you said (Tuesday night, Wednesday Dinner, etc) or write down who/what you prayed for. Try to earn all 20 pennies by the end of the week.
Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:
Think about what it might have been like for Mary to be visited by an angel and told that she would be the mother of Jesus. Read Luke 1:30-35 and color the Son of God picture. Help your child hang it up somewhere where they can see it throughout the year.
