Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

Feel of God’s love this week as you enjoy these activities.

  1. Write your child a letter and teach that the scriptures are words from God that he wants us to know. Read Jeremiah 36:1-4 and color the coloring page.
  2. Talk about different emotions and explain that Heavenly Father will comfort us when we’re sad. Play the emotions bingo game.
  3. Explain that God has an everlasting love for us. Make a paper heart and play a hide and find game. Then watch the Sing-along song “God’s Love

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Hands-On Learning Activity:

Read Jeremiah 31:3. Talk about Christ’s everlasting love and kindness. Then make the plate craft as a reminder of Christ’s love.

Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:

After reading Jeremiah 31:31-34 and 32:38-41 play the roll and cover game. Each time you cover a heart, answer one of the three questions to talk about how you can keep the covenants you made with God.

“All that the Lord Hath Spoken We Will Do”

How did Moses prepare the Israelites to make covenants with the Lord? We read in Exodus 25 that God gave commandments to His people to help them be ready for greater covenant blessings when He would “dwell among them” (Exodus 25:8). Even though the Israelites struggled to keep these commandments, they were eventually blessed as they remained true to the Lord. We will also receive all promised blessings as we live our lives in faithfulness.

“Stand Still, and See the Salvation of the Lord”

Following the 10 Plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea, you would think that the Israelites were in a powerful place spiritually. They had seen incredible miracles and had sure witnesses that the Lord was with them. Yet, upon facing a shortage of food and water, the people were willing to abandon everything God had done for them and return to slavery: “Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt… when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness” (Exodus 16:3).
