Week 43 | October 17 - October 23

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

Feel of God’s love this week as you enjoy these activities.

  1. Write your child a letter and teach that the scriptures are words from God that he wants us to know. Read Jeremiah 36:1-4 and color the coloring page.
  2. Talk about different emotions and explain that Heavenly Father will comfort us when we’re sad. Play the emotions bingo game.
  3. Explain that God has an everlasting love for us. Make a paper heart and play a hide and find game. Then watch the Sing-along song “God’s Love”

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Hands-On Learning Activity:

Read Jeremiah 31:3. Talk about Christ’s everlasting love and kindness. Then make the plate craft as a reminder of Christ’s love.

Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:

After reading Jeremiah 31:31-34 and 32:38-41 play the roll and cover game. Each time you cover a heart, answer one of the three questions to talk about how you can keep the covenants you made with God.

Though an army was present and he was offered the king’s armor, David brought his sling and his belief that the Lord would prevail through him. It was enough: “the Lord saveth not with sword and spear” (1 Samuel 17:47) but with trust and hope.

“The Lord Looketh on the Heart”

Have you ever been jealous of your neighbor? The Israelites sure were. They wanted a king to rule over them as other nations had, believing that life would be better and more secure. However, when Israel’s prophet prayed about having a king as a leader, the Lord responded that the people’s jealous desire was actually a rejection of Him as their true King: “they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them” (1 Samuel 8:7). Their need for what others’ possessed had decreased their faith in Him.
