Believe in God

Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids Lesson 18 | April 29-May 5 | Mosiah 4-6

Continue to learn from profound teachings found in Mosiah chapters 4-6, where the wisdom of King Benjamin inspires our faith. Within these chapters, we are encouraged to “Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things” (Mosiah 4:9). The blessings that come from keeping covenants and serving one another are also central to truths taught by the prophet-king. As we explore these messages the Spirit can speak to our hearts and grow our faith in the Savior. Join us as we finish into the narrative of Mosiah, discovering insights that will enrich our lives and strengthen our commitment to follow Jesus Christ.

The elementary bundle is a treasure trove for kids aged 4-11, featuring activities that instill key principles. Let’s explore three highlights:

Scripture Story Guide

Scripture Study

Grab your Scripture Story Guide book and enjoy getting into the scriptures with your family this week! The Scripture Story Guide and stickers this week align with Mosiah 5.

Covenant BeeKeepers

Go & Do Activity

As a family, read Mosiah 5:5 and talk about how you can be a covenant keeper. Discuss the covenants made at baptism and the promises Heavenly Father makes if we keep our covenants. Then have fun with the lesson’s “bees and beehive” activity! Have your family find all the bees and come up with ways to “bee” covenant keepers. See lesson for more details.

Repentance Backpacks

Surprise Activity

Use the “Repentance Backpack Object Lesson” to help your children understand how making bad choices can weigh us down. Read Mosiah 4:1-3, 10 and discuss the joy and peace we can receive by repenting. Then give each of your children a sticker that reads, “Repentance Brings Me Joy!” to help them remember it’s a good thing.

Toddler Bundle Lessons & Activities

For kids ages 1-4 at home and in nursery or sunbeams. The toddler bundle Includes a full lesson plan with THREE activities that align with scripture written by an early childhood educator. These include a coloring page, another printable activity, and a movement activity that helps young children understand the scriptures. Here are a couple of highlights from this week’s lesson.

Love One Another

Hands-On Activity

Before your lesson, set up stuffed animals/action figures or toys around the room. You can place a few band-aids on some, place some falling off a chair/table and put them in positions where to a toddler they would be worried for their well-being. Explain that we are going to go on a service walk and find toys/stuffies that need our help. When you find one, pick them up and sing the tune “As I have loved you, love one another” from the Children’s Songbook, pg. 136. After you have collected all those in need, sit together with a cozy blanket and read Mosiah 4:15. “But ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another and to serve one another.” Discuss that we need to love everyone, just like Jesus Christ loves us. We can help people who are in need and remember to love everyone. Ask your children how they can help friends or family every day.

The toddler bundle includes a lesson plan and three activities every week. Grab the toddler bundle in our subscription.
