THIS WEEK’S COME FOLLOW ME HIGHLIGHTS

Elementary Bundle Lessons & Activities

The elementary bundle is a treasure trove for kids aged 4-11, featuring activities that instill key principles. Let’s explore three highlights:

Family Pictionary

Go & Do Activity

King Benjamin teaches a great sermon on gratitude. As a family, watch the “A Shower of Heavenly Blessings” video from the lesson. Next, read Mosiah 2:19-25 and discuss how all our blessings come from God. Then, use sticky notes for a fun game of Pictionary and then fill out the “Gratitude Lists” activity together.

Crowns of a King

Surprise Activity

Make King Benjamin Crowns! Let children be creative with markers, gems, glitter, etc. to decorate their crowns. Place a chair at the front of the room. Give each child a verse from below to read and teach. Let them wear their crown and stand on the chair to be King Benjamin.

Temple Tents

Hands-On Activity

Read Mosiah 2:5-6 and talk about how the people pitched their tents around the temple. Make your own Listen to King Benjamin Tents. You can color the tents while you listen to some recent counsel on words taught by King Benjamin by Henry B. Eyring (see lesson for details). Then “pitch” your tents around a LEGO® tower or tower made of other building blocks.
