THIS WEEK’S COME FOLLOW ME HIGHLIGHTS

Elementary Bundle Lessons & Activities

The elementary bundle is a treasure trove for kids aged 4-11, featuring activities that instill key principles. Let’s explore three highlights:

Holy Week Walk

Go & Do Activity

This fun Holy Week Walk takes your family on a visual walk through the last week of Christ’s life. Before the activity, print and hang eight pictures provided with the lesson around your house. Each picture represents each day of the last week of Christ’s life. Visit each picture in order, read the summary or scripture references, and discuss what that part of Jesus’ life means. Be sure to assemble a Holy Week Passport for each child (see lesson details for passport materials). Your children will take their passport with them and collect a sticker for each day as you visit the pictures.

Resurrection Eggs

Hands-On Activity

Another activity to help your family understand the events leading up to Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection is to make a set of Resurrection Eggs. You will need a set of 12 plastic eggs, the paper strips from the activity file and the corresponding items (see lesson details). Have the children choose the eggs one by one. Read the sentences on the paper and discuss the object. To create a little more fun for your children, you could hide the eggs and have them find them!

You’ve Been Egged!

Surprise Activity

Pass along the fun to your neighbors by using the “You’ve Been Egged!” door hangers. Gather 12 plastic eggs and fill all but one with a small treat. Then, hide the eggs around your neighbor’s yard, hang the door hanger on their doorknob, knock, and run! They will get to enjoy some treats and be reminded of this special time of year!
