Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids Lesson 12 | March 18-24 | 2 Nephi 31-33
In these last chapters of 2 Nephi, we read the final testimony of a prophet of God. Nephi shares a lasting witness of Jesus Christ and offers a goodbye to both the people of his day and to us in modern times, saying that he will meet us again at the Second Coming of the Savior. We can heed the words of Nephi by teaching our children to “hearken unto these words and believe in Christ” (2 Nephi 33:10).

Pray, Pray, Pray
Surprise Activity
Read 2 Nephi 32:8-9 and talk about when and where you should pray (pray always and anywhere!). Sing these songs from the Children’s Songbook together: “A Child’s Prayer” pg. 12; “A Prayer Song” pg. 22A; and “I Pray in Faith” pg. 14. Make up your own actions to help remember the words. Give everyone a prayer chart from the lesson and commit to saying your prayers this week!

Go & Do Activity
In his last words in the Book of Mormon, Nephi shares his witness of Jesus Christ. He points out that he is not mighty in writing, but the Holy Ghost has the power to take the message to the hearts of man. Read Nephi’s final testimony and talk about how they can help strengthen your testimony in this week’s fun popcorn lesson!
Feasting on the Word
Hands-On Activity
Discuss what “feasting upon the word of Christ (2 Nephi 31:20)” means with your children. Make the “Feasting on the Words of Christ” place setting from the lesson and cut out the food with scissors. As you put each piece of food on your plate, discuss how the things listed could help you “feast” on the words of Christ.

Prayer Puzzle
Hands-On Activity
Read 2 Nephi 32:8-9 with your little ones. In these verses, we learn that the Spirit teaches us to pray, but Satan does not want us to pray. Ask your children who we should listen to. Next, share times and places that we can pray. Use the “I Can Pray All Day” prayer puzzles as you talk about each one. Work together as a family to complete all the prayer puzzles, repeating as many times as you’d like. Close your lesson about prayer by singing “A Prayer Song” (Children’s Songbook, pg. 22a) and saying a prayer together.
