We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
- Go on a walk and hold your child’s hand. Talk about how to stay safe like looking both ways before crossing the street. When you get home read Luke 9:23-25. Sing the song “I’ll Walk With You” from the Children’s songbook and color the coloring page.
- Teach that Jesus has the power to heal. Summarize the miracles that happen in Matthew 9:18-30 and Mark 5:22-43. Watch the video of Christ raising Jairus’ daughter from the dead. Do the miracle puzzles to create a visual to help you learn and review these miracles
- Read Matthew 10:1-10. Then play “Follow the Leader” with a twist. Play the song “Follow the Prophet” from the children’s songbook. Let one child be the prophet and do an action around the house (like jump, skip, hop, etc) and everyone else follows the prophet’s action. Let everyone have a turn being the prophet.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
Summary of this week’s Go & Do Family Activity:
Read Matthew 10:1-10. Talk about how Jesus called apostles and we have apostles on the earth today. Do the apostle match activity to learn or review the apostle’s names. Then have an apostle hunt. Hide the pictures of the apostles around your house and as the kids find a picture tell them something about that apostle.
Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:
After reading Luke 9:23-25 and Romans 1:16 help your children fill out the I choose to follow Jesus footprint. Help them think of ways they can follow Jesus in different situations.
