February 13 – February 19 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Blessed Are Ye

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

This week we’re learning about the beatitudes

1. Briefly talk to your family about what the sermon on the mount is. Have everyone sit close together on a blanket as you watch a video about Jesus teaching the people, then color the coloring page.
2. Teach your family what it means to be a peacemaker. Act out scenarios where someone in your family has been a peacemaker. Read Matthew 5:9 and do the peacemaker/peace breaker activity.
3. Read Matthew 5:14-16. Make a star wand and learn the songs “Shine On” (Children’s Songbook pg 144) and “I Am Like A Star” (Children’s Songbook pg 163). Dance around the room with your star wand as you sing the songs. Play the songs on repeat throughout the week.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Scripture Study Activity:

Read the beatitudes in Matthew 5:3-10. To help your family learn the beatitudes play the beatitude monster swat game. Let everyone have a turn swatting the monsters until all the monsters have been collected.

Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:

Read Matthew 5:9 and ask your family what a peacemaker is. Have a discussion about what it means to be a peacemaker. Play the I Can Be a Peacemaker game.
