We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
Enjoy these simple activities during this Christmas season.
- Read or summarize the Christmas story then color the coloring page.
- Make cupcakes and sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus and blow out the candles. We also like to read this fun book called “Happy Birthday Jesus.”
- Make a graham cracker nativity and discuss what it might have been like to be there that night and meet baby Jesus.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
We know Christmas can get busy with get togethers, family time and other events. So we have made a simple lesson plan this week that you can do in one night, or spread over the week to help you celebrate Christmas.
Story and Activity:
Read the story “Teach the Children.” Learn about the symbols of Christmas we see all around us at Christmas time and how they relate to Christ. Use the ornaments as you learn about each symbol and discuss each name of Christ.
Roll and Sing Activity:
Roll two dice and sing the song on the corresponding star. Mark the star with a little candy, cereal, sticker, or other small object. Continue rolling and singing until all the stars are covered.
Nativity Finger Puppets Activity:
Print, cut, and tape or glue each nativity finger puppet. Use the finger puppets to act out the Christmas story from memory or as you read the Christmas story from Luke 2.
