This Come Follow Me lesson starts off with the tribute to the king activity. Read Mosiah 7:22 and let the kids do the activity while you explain that the King was taking half of everything the people owned.
Next, read Mosiah 8:19 and let the children color the prophet coloring page as you discuss the blessings that come from having a modern day prophet. Take a wiggle break and sing the song Follow the Prophet.
Use the staying on course airplane cards to sort good and bad decisions and to help discuss how the prophet helps keep us on course. We have also provided a link to a talk by Elder Uchtdorf. Pay attention to the first story about the plane that was off by a few degrees.
We have a lot of fun bonus ideas this week! Talk about being physically and spiritually prepared and complete the activity.
After discussing the small plates let the kids complete the maze to find the plates. There is a harder maze for older children and an easier maze for younger children.
Use the scripture print to help your family learn or memorize a new scripture. Singing songs is a also a good learning tool. Sing some songs that go along with the topic of this week’s lesson. We have provided a few suggestions on your summary page.
