A House Unto My Name

Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids

Week 45 | October 25 - October 31

We have multiple Come Follow Me subscriptions and multiple activities in each subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help achieve our goal.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

As a family sing the song “Do As I’m Doing.” Let your child choose the action and everyone else follows them. Then show a picture of the prophet and explain that Heavenly Father has given us a prophet and asked us to follow him. When we follow the prophet we will be kept safe from dangers and come closer to Heavenly Father. Use the “Follow The Prophet Activity.” Place the arrows around your home and play follow the leader as the leader follows the arrows. Display the “Follow The Prophet Banner” in your home during the week.

Simplified Come Follow Me Activity

Learn about Patriarchal Blessings by using the “Roadmap Activity.” Let your family find the pins 1-8. You can set them up in your home or around your neighborhood. Each pin has a riddle to solve before finding the next pin. At the end, collect all the pins and talk about what a patriarchal blessing is and why it is unique and special to each individual.

“Yet Will I Trust in Him”

Job had many blessings in his life: a large family, a devoted spouse, and wealth that provided plenty and more for his household. Job gave thanks to God for his blessings, but even when nearly every blessing was taken away, he did not lessen his faith. Instead, as those around him said his faith had been a waste of time, Job showed his trust in the Lord by exercising Christlike patience and long suffering. Eventually, Job’s faith was rewarded, and his trust in God was justified.

“Thou Art Come … for Such a Time as This”

Esther never set out to be queen of the most powerful empire in the world. Born into servitude as part of a conquered people, the best life Esther could have hoped for would have been a quiet life far away from the homeland of her ancestors. Yet when trouble came, it wasn’t her beauty or good luck that saved her people’s lives; it was her faith in God. Through her trust in the Lord and her willingness to act in faith, Esther was able to accomplish much more than she could alone.

“I Am Doing a Great Work”

Returning to Jerusalem after 70 years in captivity, the Israelites were eager to restore that which they had lost.
