Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids Lesson 45 | November 2-8 | Ezekiel 1–3; 33–34; 36–37; 47

Though the captive Israelites didn’t have a temple to worship in Babylon, they still held on to the blessings that came from keeping their covenants. We should teach our children that the temple is a special place, and its blessings can touch every part of our lives!

This week, use the “Great Blessings Come from the Temple” activity page to open up a conversation with your family about temple blessings. As you read Ezekiel 47:1–12 together, invite your kids to listen carefully for the incredible promises mentioned in those verses. Afterward, you can build your very own temple using a simple tissue box and the included printouts—it’s a wonderful, hands-on way to keep the temple in your family’s hearts and minds.

Come Follow Me FHE lessons include everything you need to make learning about the Old Testament enjoyable for your family. Teach your children to love the gospel with our scripture-focused lesson activities. Start your free trial now!

We have some great activities and resources to help assist you in celebrating a Christ-centered Easter this year! We recommend picking the activities that work best for you and your family. We think just a few activities will allow you to celebrate Easter, but also allow you time to focus on our Savior and what He has done for us. Our hope is that you will find something meaningful for your family to help celebrate this special holiday!

Make a Temple

Hands-On Activity

Use the “Great Blessings Come from the Temple” activity page to talk with your family about the blessings that come from the temple. Read Ezekiel 47:1–12 and invite your children to listen for the blessings mentioned in the scriptures. Then, make your own temple using the printouts and a tissue box.

Watchmen

Surprise Activity

Help your children understand that prophets are called to be watchmen for God’s people. Read Ezekiel 3:17 together and ask what Ezekiel was asked to do. Explain that prophets are called to guide, direct, and warn us when needed. Make binoculars together and complete the Watchmen activity. As you find the birds, read messages of guidance and warning from our modern prophets.

Temple Blessings

Coloring Page

Read Ezekiel 47:1–12 together as a family. Then, color the Temple coloring page and discuss the blessings the scriptures describe that come from the temple.

Toddler Bundle Lessons & Activities

For kids ages 1-4 at home and in nursery or sunbeams.

Created By God

Outdoor Activity

Give your child a paper bag and go outside together to gather natural items like sticks, leaves, small rocks, flowers, or pine cones. Talk about each item you’ve collected and point out how they all look different but were all created by God. Explain that just like these items, all people are different and special because they are children of God. Read Ezekiel 37:21 together. Teach that Heavenly Father is gathering His children into His Church, and when we share the gospel with others, we are helping with that gathering. Help your child glue the collected items onto a piece of cardstock or place them in a jar as a reminder. Emphasize that all of God’s children are unique, and we can love and serve others as we help gather them. End by singing “We Are Different” (Children’s Songbook, p. 263).

The toddler bundle includes a lesson plan and three activities every week. Grab the toddler bundle in our subscription.
