A Guide to the Scriptures

Read 2 Nephi 15:20 with your family and talk about how Satan tries to confuse us by calling “evil good, and good evil.” In contrast to Satan, God speaks to us through the Holy Ghost in a calm and comforting way. Teach your children the importance of learning to discern between Satan and the Holy Ghost. Give your children a “God’s Voice” vs. “Satan’s Voice” bookmark and then play the sorting game (see lesson details).
Discovering the Names of Christ
Go & Do Activity
Join in on the mini book-making fun! Start by reading the first paragraph from the Come, Follow Me manual for this week’s lesson, then explore 2 Nephi 19:6, where Isaiah prophesies of the Savior Jesus Christ by listing several of His titles and attributes. Help your children make the “35 Names of Christ” mini book and choose their favorite name or title for Christ from the list.
Delighting in the Names of Christ
Coloring Activity
Begin by showing your children the “My Soul Delighteth…” coloring page and read the highlighted verses from 2 Nephi 11. Discuss how you can find joy and delight in these scriptures as you color the page together as a family.
