We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
- Start your lesson by doing something with your child that they need help with like making their bed or tying their shoes. Work on the task together and use positive language as you go. Read Hebrews 13:5-6 and color the coloring page. As they color ask them and discuss these questions: How can we ask God for help? When has God helped you? Who will God help when they need it?
- Read Hebrews 11:1-32 and make the mini book before the lesson. Use the spirit to help you teach your family what you read in Hebrews. Read the mini book together. Place the book next to your child’s bed so they can look at it each night before bed.
- Sit in a circle and read Hebrews 7:1-6. Look at the pictures in the gospel art kit 103-108 and talk about the priesthood. Then use the printable microphone or a toy microphone if you have one and let the person with the microphone say one way the priesthood has blessed them. Then pass the microphone to the next person. Continue around the circle until everyone has had a turn.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
Summary of Go & Do Family Activity
Read and discuss Hebrews 7:1-4. Talk about who in your ward or branch holds the Melchizedek Priesthood and how they serve your family. Then do the Sweet Service Pie and thank those priesthood holders that serve you.
Summary of Surprise Activity
Have fun learning about the Priesthood by playing the Priesthood Power Card Game. Take turns drawing a card. Read the card aloud and then follow the instructions (keep the card, discard the card, or pass the card right/left). The person with the most cards at the end wins.
