We have multiple Come Follow Me subscriptions and multiple activities in each subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help achieve our goal.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
Explain that all trains need a track. The track helps the train stay on course, get where it needs to go, and avoid danger. When we obey the commandments and keep our covenants we are “on track.” Read D&C 54:6 and explain that covenants are promises that we make with Heavenly Father. Assemble the train on the tracks. Let the children move the train on the tracks. Sing the song “The Train on The Track” with your child (the words are included in your lesson materials).
Simplified Come Follow Me Activity
Play the “Staying On Track Board Game.” As you roll the dice answer the corresponding questions as listed on the instruction page before moving your game piece. At the end of the game discuss how we will stay on track as we keep our covenants. Give each person a badge to wear to remind them to stay on track.
Standard Come Follow Me Activities

CREATE IT ACTIVITY:
Read D&C 52:14-19 and highlight the characteristics of Godly men. Use the “Prophet Pictures” and sing Follow The Prophet. While singing, listen for attributes of the prophets. Discuss what the pattern is with all of these prophets. For younger children, consider creating a pattern with simple shapes or actions (ex. stomp, clap, snap, stomp, clap snap, etc).
DO IT ACTIVITY:
As a family make a small batch of chocolate chip cookies. Instead of putting in sugar put in salt but don’t tell your family. Let your family eat the cookies and when they realize the cookies don’t taste good, tell them that you told a little lie. You put salt in instead of sugar but you didn’t think it would matter. Discuss the consequences of lying. Finish the lesson by using the “chocolate chip cookies journaling.”
