Begin this Come Follow Me lesson by letting everyone in the family name a positive characteristic about each member. Then explain that Mormon was a righteous man. Learn how we can be righteous like Mormon by using the Characteristics of Mormon Peek-a-Boo. Read each scripture and then lift the flap to reveal the characteristic.
After revealing all the characteristics discuss how you can apply them in your life.
At the end of the lesson give each child an I Can Be Be Righteous Like Mormon paper. Read the scriptures at the top. Let each child list 3 ways they can be more like Mormon. Let the younger kids can draw a picture.
Read together Mormon 5:10-11. Use the Egg-cellent Object Lesson to show how Godly sorrow leaves creates a true and lasting change. Then let the children create the visual aids.
Use the Scripture Story Guide to study Mormon 2:10-15.
Read together Mormon 3:3, 9. Discuss how sometimes even though we may not feel God’s hand in our life, he is always there. Use the Gratitude Journal label and prompts to help you see God’s hand in your life.
