Fun and engaging singing time activity that can be used to learn a new song at home or in primary.
Print the baseball field as a 24×36″ engineer or blueprint at your local print shop.
To Play:
– Split the children into two teams and give them team names. Choose a child to be up to bat. Place one of their team’s players on home base. Let the child roll a die and follow the directions as indicated on the key.
– If they roll a one, two, or three, let them run their player to the base they rolled. Sing the song as directed on whichever base they land on.
– If the child rolls a four on the die, they get a “homerun” and they get to choose which song to sing or how to sing the song.
– If they roll a five, they get a strike and immediately roll again. If they happen to roll three fives in a row, that is three strikes, and it is then the other team’s turn.
– If they roll a six, they hit a “foul ball,” and can choose one of the foul balls.
