Have a friendly competition to see who can build the tallest Tower of Babel. Discuss Genesis 11 with your family and talk about how the people were trying to build a tower to reach God. Using uncooked spaghetti and marshmallows, build towers individually or in groups.
Read Moses 7:28 and talk about why God wept. Create the “happy/sad face” and use it while singing the song “Smiles” (Children’s Songbook pg 267a). As a family discuss what you can do to make God happy.

Read Moses 6:52,57 and the Fourth Article of Faith. Discuss what we need to do to return to our Heavenly Father. Then make the “Turn To Him Mobile.”
Gather 5 paper bags and glue and create the “paperbag puppets.” Watch the video about “The Fall.” Then use the puppets to reenact the story.

Follow the instructions to make your Creation Mobile. Use your mobile to discuss what God created on each day and what creations bring each family member joy.
Together decorate the “I Am A Child of God Card”. On the back list attributes that make your child special. Testify that God loves all of His children and end with singing “I Am A Child Of God”

This week is formatted differently. We are throwing a birthday party for Jesus. Pick a date and use the “invitations” to invite family and friends.
Use the “Bike Object Lesson” to teach your family about how the family is central to God’s plan. Explain to them each part of the wheel and what it represents. As we grow closer to God our family becomes stronger. Consider going on a family bike ride at the end of the lesson.
This week’s materials include multiple ways to help your family learn and memorize the Articles of Faith. Play the “Articles of Faith Matching Game”. As you find matches discuss the truth that we believe. You could also discuss what kinds of questions people may have that this Article of Faith would answer.
