To start this Come Follow Me Lesson, read Alma 37:47 and then go on the Treasure Hunt for Christ (have the treasure hunt set up before the lesson). After the treasure hunt explain that we need to search for Christ in our lives.
Use the Alma Mini Book to read the story of Alma as a family. Then let everyone take a turn retelling the story. (You can also pair up and retell the story with a partner).
Hang up the picture of Christ used for the treasure hunt. Blindfold one member of the family and have another family member help them to Christ. After everyone has a turn being blindfolded relate this to things that help us come to Christ, like the scriptures.
Finish the lesson by reading Alma 37:6-7 and completing the small and simple things object lesson.
Make a list of small and simple things that bless your life. As you share aloud each idea add a puff ball or small rock to a clear jar until the jar is full.
Learn about the word bridle as you read Alma chapter 38.
Discuss repentance and how it makes us happy. Use the smiling and frowning face and sing the song If You Chance to Meet a Frown. Then color the Repentance coloring page.
